Btw, sometimes I wonder if a writer who used as much "unconsciously" from another writer as Williams uses from other composers, wouldn't be sued for plagiarism. Maybe in another decade or two my opinion will be different. Right now, I don't really feel that Williams is particularly great, one way or another. The characters I enjoy are either the side characters or the antagonists. The film is rife with historical inaccuracies and the romantic chemistry is somewhat cringeworthy. He served as the principal conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra from 1980 to 1993, and is now the orchestra's laureate conductor. After watching this movie and doing some research, its clear enough that the author and Hollywood do not understand the concept of the geisha at all.
